“I plugged in a Western Digital USB drive that the Best Buy tech recommended when I purchased the Aluratek. I got the basics set up, however I can’t record. When I hit the “Rec” key it says “no disk detected”. Is there something else I need to program?”

you will need to format the drive to record LIVE TV. Go to the Aluratek site or just google the formatting for recording live TV.

It changed the channels that I selected for the tv and I had to go into the tv menu and reset again I purchased this to record some antenna programs but it's very difficult and the instructions are terrible. I'm under the impression that you have to use a Flash Drive or portable drive to record. I have a nephew that is a computer geek and asked him to come over and set it up. I hope
