• I got close to 150 feet direct line of site while using to receive from my phone. But as soon as even my body got in the way it wanted to skip...

• I don't get anywhere close to 300' in either mode. I often have connection blips barely 15' away when I have direct line of sight to the device. As soon as there's a wall in the way forget it. Your mileage may vary because it's affected by local interference and signals in your listening area, but my own experience with the range was quite disappointing.
