Q: QuestionMy upper cabinets are 16" deep and the cutout for the microwave is 30" wide. Will it work to open the door given the depth of these cabinets? or does opening the door require extra clearance? Thanks! Leah

• A:Answer The door opens about a half inch out, so I don't think you would have enough clearance since your cabinets would be flush with the front of the microwave.

• A:Answer Check to see which way the fan is actually pointing. If there is a wall behind, you don't want to vent into the wall. I had thought the instructions said which way to point the fan for internal use.

• A:Answer Vent it's ok, you could choose to vent out or in, of course if you vent out, you will have less smell or smoke than if you vent in or recycle air.
