Yvette, this Dryer is not designed to be used with an indoor venting kit and would need to be vented to the outside.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My DIL bought this dryer in October 2018. It's now May. When she bought it, she took out my old Kenmore washer and dryer which still worked! They had been in the same place as the new washer and dryer for FOURTEEN YEARS! So now the dryer has stopped heating. It still blows, but there is no heat. She bought a warranty, so it's covered. But you have to go through Amana to get someone to come out. It took a week to get a technician to the house. I'm not sure what went on, just that he replaced the "thermal fuse" because it had gone out. My dryer has a vent to the outside, but it goes up, and through a cabinet, and then into the ceiling. Prior to my DIL buying the new dryer, the vent tube had fallen down from the ceiling, so we just had it open into the cabinet(a 3 foot long by 2 foot high cabinet) above the dryer to contain the lint from flying all over the bathroom. So the technician told her that since it wasn't connected up into the ceiling, and just in the cabinet, that had caused the dryer to overheat...WHAT? She ran the dryer daily for 6 months, and she told me a couple of days she may have done 12 loads of laundry. They aren't downstairs now because we are remodeling. So I only use the dryer about once a week. Now all of a sudden it's overheating and they blamed it on the cupboard venting. So he put a new fuse in and the next time I tried to use it, the thermal cutoff fuse blew. I called Amana and they said their system was down and I would have to call back in two hours. So instead, I called the company that came out the first time, and told them the fuse blew again. They scheduled me for 3 days later. So now it's a WEEK AFTER the first fuse was put in. The kid that is supposed to come calls, and says he "doesn't have that fuse in his truck". He used the last one the week before when he came. AND if I don't have the dryer vented to the outside, AMANA WILL NOT AUTHORIZE him to put in another fuse. So I tell him not to worry about it. I call Amana and complain, and tell them I want a DIFFERENT appliance company to come out. So the guy gets me an appointment for the next day with a new appliance company. Of course they have all the information about the make of the dryer and the serial, and model numbers. The girl comes, and she sees the INDOOR VENTING KIT that I had purchased to use, and she tells me it's crap and not to bother using it. Then she tests all the fuses with her fuse tester. She says that it's the :"thermal cutoff fuse" and she goes out to her van to get it. But ALAS! She DOESN'T have one!!! AND she tells me that I should put the vent tube BACK IN THE CEILING because the hose blowing into this big empty cabinet void is causing the overheating. I call BS! So now it's been about 2 weeks and I have nothing to dry my clothes in. I think that there is a problem with this dryer and the parts involved. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!! Even if you have a warranty you can't get it fixed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am unsure. You might want to talk to the Best Buy install team. They are amazing. I looked at the indoor dryer vents as I had a similar situation. But, I opted to cut a whole on the floor and vent under the house.
