You probably have Alexa turned off. The switch to Alexa is on the bottom of the tv towards the middle. If you have a red light in the middle bottom I believe that means it's turned off. I hope this helps.

First verify that you have the correct username and password entered on the settings of your new TV. If you changed your information your credentials will need updated. Also during the set up process, you should have enabled Alexa Anytime. This means you selected to have Alexa always listening- even if the TV is off, or you skipped this part. If you skipped this part you can adjust in your TV's settings! From there, if you set up a Fire TV device in the past you can restore your settings. You can then add apps and will land at the Fire TV interface. Another option if Alexa is not responding is to check centered below the bottom bezel where an LED indicator for the far-field microphone array. A blue light illuminates when you say “Alexa” and you’ll see a long blue line across the lower portion of the TV screen. During set up or positioning in your home you may have disabled the microphone array by flipping a switch that’s on the TV’s underside. A red light indicates that the mics have been turned off. In this case you can still use voice commands with the Alexa Voice Remote but the TV alone will not respond. Hope that helps!
