It depends on where you instruct Alexa to access your music. I uploaded my personal music collections to my Amazon Music Account, "My Music", so when I tell Alexa to play, "My Music", or a specific song or artist, I know the music I will get will be clean versions since the kids access Alexa for music.

Yes just simply ask or set up a child play list

Yes, it links to your music apps on your phone. So you can select certain pandora stations to use and etc. BUT the dot speaker isn’t very loud. If you are wanting it for music you should do the big one.
