• Yes, it is exactly the same as an Echo, only in a cheaper, smaller form (with a 3.5mm audio jack in back)

• Yes and Yes. We have two dots and both are connected to the same app on my phone. You see then as separate devices, but both tie into the same shopping list, email accounts, and Audible accounts as the phone is associated with. Works great with one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom.
