If all you are looking to do is turn a TV on and off, simply purchase some smart plugs. I initially bought a 4 pack of Etekcity plugs on Amazon and they work great. Plug into wall outlet and then plug whatever device you want to control into it. 1st time setup is easy and they also work off your wifi. Once recognized by the Alexa app, name the device in the app and you are good to go. You can even use Alexa to act as a sleep timer by telling her to shut off in 30 minutes or whatever. Keep in mind, this setup cuts all power to the device - it is as if you pulled the plug. If you have Smart TV, that MAY create issue with losing data or settings. Check into that first.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on your TV. Vizio, LG and Sony’s do this natively. If not you need a harmony hub. Should work with all TVs. All you have to do is set up the hub to work with your phone and TV and then download the Harmony skill in the Alexa app. Hope this helps!
