“Is the Echo Dot 3rd-Gen compatible with Apple AirPlay2 so that it will sync music along with other devices playing in the AirPlay2 system?? And perhaps control lights, etc, accordingly too??”

The Amazon Echo does not support AirPlay or Airplay2.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No AirPlay. Just Bluetooth from one device. Once paired, I say “eco, connect my phone” and connects to my iPhone X just like that, and starts playing whatever I set on my phone. Eco now supports Apple Music so that was my deciding factor when I purchased this speaker.
