The echo dot is not potable. It has to be plugged into a socket.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well you would need a way of plugging it in either in a car or somewhere nearby. You will need this close enough so it can hear you speak. I would also definitely keep it wear it won't get wet or sand on it. Also keep in mind that salt air can ruin electronics over time. Another option. Is to use the alexa app on your phone as most things you use with alexa are bluetooth enabled so it will work from the app itself, just go to your setting and enable alexa to be on at all times it will show the alexa symbol on your status bar.

It also need to be plugged into a wall outlet and connected to WiFi. The device has a 1.6" speaker, so it fills a small space very well. I hope that helps! Have a great day!
