I don’t have anything but the Dot and I don’t have Amazon music. I set it up using my phone and the Alexa app.

I do not have them synced, but they are all attached to my Amazon account so they queue up my music on their own . . . you shouldn't have to do anything special. If I were you, I'd just set up the dot at work; as long as you have the app available, that's all you should need. I just about went nuts setting up the second and then the third dots I have here, but that seems to be a common issue with the Alexa app itself (I have friends and neighbors with the same issues). In order for you to set up a new Echo Dot 3rd Gen you will need to have access to Wi-Fi, as long as you have this work you will be able to use. Since the Echo Dot 3rd Gen is set up through your Alexa App it will automatically register to your Amazon Music Unlimited. Hope this has addressed your concern. Have an amazing day!
