• Nope 3rd generation doesn't have a screen, but there is a higher end model that has a screen and there's also a model that has a clock with no screen.

• Echo Dots do not have a display...The new Echo Show 5 and 8 (the 5 being the latest with a 5" display) are the devices with a display. The 1st and 2nd generation dots have all plastic exterior whereas the 3rd generation has fabric (looks/feels like speaker cover) covering the side.
