• The 3rd generation does not use an USB connection. You have to plug the device into a wall outlet (has a regular power cord). The App should work on the iPhone 8 Plus.

• It connects to internet over your wifi at home. Dont need a computer to use it. Also need a cellphone to download the app for easier interaction. Just plug into wall socket , very simple.
