No. You would create a group and then play music on the entire group, "Alexa, play (songs/song/playlist) on group (I have one called everywhere)). Prior you would create a group in Alexa and then add the devices to that group. Then Alexa plays the same song on the Everywhere group.

no you can just set up your units to play thru the Alexa app.

You can play the same thing in all rooms or different in all rooms with the same account. You need to go to the alexa app on your phone and set up groups however you like. then you will use your group name to determine where it plays.

1 Amazon account should do. You can also use Pandora, Spotify, or any other streaming service and simply create groups to play everywhere.
