Hi I just bought the Echo dot for my mom who's in an Extended care facility, she doesn't have a cell phone as it is hard for her to use.. How can I get this device set up since I am not allowed in because of covid-19? Will they just use their wi-fi? null

I don't know.  Great question!  You would have to set it up on your phone or laptop then move it and then connect it to their WIFI.   That would be wonderful for her!

It would be difficult to set it up for her if you can't get in to do it yourself, presuming you are "tech-savvy". If she is relatively sharp mentally she will find the echo dot a NEW FRIEND FOR LIFE. Check out YouTubes on this product to get more familiar with how to set it up.

The nurse can set up with there wifi. You can also set up with your cellphone. There is a step by step on Alexa app on your phone.
