• If you buy a fire tv it comes with a controller. That’s the main way to power on and off etc. but you can set up Alexa to do everything from find a movie, switch to Netflix, and more. Mine will not turn the tv off or on or change volume.

• My Echo dot 3gen does not pair with my Amazon fire stick. Not sure about a fire TV.
