• It is primarily an Amazon Alexa device but does function as Bluetooth speaker. Simply as Alexa to enter pairing mode or to find nearby devices and connect that way or via the Alexa app. You can enable skills to link nearly any streaming service as well.

• You can use it as a bluetooth speaker or with a 3.5mm AUX input. Echo also supports third-party apps (Spotify, for example) and can stream those as well.
