• You just need internet service and, it is helpful to download the Alexa app.

• Yes - as far as I know you can choose from various levels of a Prime Membership with Amazon which gives you access to music you ask Alexa to play. Prime membership can range from 3.99 - 12.99 a month and can include other perks beside music, like TV shows and speedy delivery of... anything. (You can also synch your already owned music up with it somehow, - no idea how yet, apologies)

• No. Just Wi-Fi. Only service you would need is something like Amazon Music or Pandora. Regular Amazon account will do just fine.
