What the difference between echo and echo plus null

The Echo Plus comes with a built-in hub to control other devices such as lights. The Echo requires you to purchase the hub separately to control other devices.

Echo plus has a built in application to control Philips Hue Lights BUT get the Hue Hub to have better control over the lights. Best Buy has them on sale for $59 and you get 2 lights.

Echo Plus comes with a hub and upgraded speakers.

The Echo Plus includes a built-in hub. Unfortunately, Amazon made a tactical decision to make it a ZigBee protocol hub. ZigBee can connect 65,000 devices compared to Z-Wave being limited to 232 devices. It is highly unlikely that in a residential application that the 232 device limit would be exceeded. Z-wave has more manufacturers using their protocol.

You can connect smart items to it and work by using your voice like outlets and lights.
