• Yes to earphones but it is terrible in sun Can’t read with it outdoors unless in good shade. I understand the kindle paper is good for reading in sun

• I think so. I have not read books on it. It’s not like kindle, it is like mini iPad but very cheap in price .

• yes there is a jack so that you can plug in your headphones. As far as sitting in the sun to read you can use it but its a little difficult with the reflection but it still can be done.
