“so at home I would connect to my home network but at say the laundry mat where they don't offer free wifi will this device still connect to the internet? Also will it work with the Microsoft store as my games are connected to my MSN account?”

Hello, Confused! You can only connect to the internet if WiFi is available. Some people use hot spots to connect to the internet outside of your home or somewhere where it may not be available. There are apps and games that do not require an internet connection, though. The tablet runs on the Amazon App store. I hope that helps. Have a great day!
