Q: QuestionI have an Amazon account for other Kindles. I'm going to keep this one in a place that doesn't have wi-fi. Can I transfer books to it without wi-fi?
Asked by Barbie.
- A:Answer Hello, Barbie! If you download the books to it while on WiFi, you won't need WiFi to pull up the books and read them. Just make sure you go into the Kindle app and download whatever books you want to read, and then you should be all set! Have a great day!

Q: QuestionI WANT TO SEND THIS TO JAMAICA .. WILL IT WORK ? CAN THE KIDS ZOOM ETC FOR CLASS
Asked by Candy.
This question was asked about the related product: Amazon - Fire 7 Tablet (7" display, 16 GB) - Plum
- A:Answer Hi Candy, As long as they have Wifi (if they do not, there are certain apps and features like the Internet Browser and app store that would not work) and you have the correct power adapters. Some content, such as streaming services for movies and such that limit their content depending on location, but overall it will work. Hope that info helps.

Q: QuestionCan you watch YouTube videos on this tablet?
Asked by Jazz.
- A:Answer I use YTD Video Downloader to download YouTube videos as MP4 files on my PC. . Then I connect my Amazon Fire 7 to my PC to copy them to the 64 GB micro SD card in the Fire. This allows me to put about 40 movies on the Amazon Fire. I'm working on a project to provide free educational materials to the incarcerated. The problem is that the Amazon Fire 7 has a camera and WiFi built into it and these devices are prohibited in most facilities. Do you know of any inexpensive device that is the equivalent of th Amazon Fire 7 but that DOES NOT have WiFi or a camera on it? If I could find one it would be a great benefit to a great number of people. Paul O'Donaghue [email protected]

Q: QuestionWill this tablet run DJI fly app? For my mavic air 2?
Asked by fasteddie.
- A:Answer I don't know what a DJI fly app or a mavic air 2 is but I use my Amazon Fire 7 with a 64 GB micro SD card to put YouTube movies and recorded lectures of Yale's free online courses on my Amazon Fire 7 for free distribution to the incarcerated. Unfortunately, most facilities will not permit inmates to use any device with either WiFi capability or a camera. Do you know of any device similar to the Amazon Fire 7 (or 10) that does not have these capabilities? If so, could you please let me know. Paul O'Donaghue [email protected]

Q: QuestionCan I insert a sim card in this particular tablet
Asked by Guy.
- A:Answer Hello Guy! Thanks for your question regarding SIM cards and the Amazon Fire 7. This is a WiFi only tablet that does not need to be activated on a cellular carrier, so no SIM is used for this device. You just need active WiFi available for it to connect to if you want to use online services. I hope this answers your question and that you have an amazing day!

Q: QuestionHow do I transfer data from apps on an old Kindle to the new one? For one I have versions of "InkPad" on both and would like to transfer the notes from the old to the new. I also have a "Contacts" app on each, but I'm not sure they are data compatible.
Asked by Edgy.
- A:Answer Hello, EdGY! You can do a Fire Tablet back up which will help transfer a lot of content. Here are the steps for how to do that: n Amazon Help, search on "Fire backup" for more help: "Backup and Restore Your Fire Tablet Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings. Tap Device Options, and then tap Backup & Restore. Tap the switch to turn Device Backup ON. Your device will automatically back up once weekly when it is in sleep mode and connected wirelessly." "Fire tablet backs up your: Personal settings Silk Browser bookmarks Home screen and app layout Note: Purchased music, movies, TV shows, apps, and books are automatically stored in the Cloud and can be downloaded to your device from the Cloud tab. Photos and personal videos can be backed up in your Amazon Drive. To learn more, go to What Is Amazon Drive." Certain apps will be a little different. I would look through the settings of "InkPad: and the "Contacts" apps you are talking about to see if there is a backup option for each of those. If the contacts are through your Amazon account, those should transfer with a back up. I hope that helps! Have a great day!
