If there is no physical damage to the product then a perfect option is warranty claim.

If this doesn't work, and you are sure it has been charging properly, contact Amazon customer service. They were great when I had a problem with my Kindle Keyboard a couple of years ago. At least in the past, sometimes Amazon will send you a replacement and a prepaid shipping label to return the old one as long as it is within the warranty period.
