I use my tablet throughout the day, every day, and charge it at night. It lasts all day for me. Based on an 8-10 hour day. If I'm a passenger, while travelling, I use my "hot spot" and charge it in the vehicle, if needed.

It depends on what you are doing. Games eat up the battery quicker but playing games and reading for several hours a day, our kindles have not gone below 50 percent. They do charge fairly quickly when idle.

It depends on how long you can read and play apps on the kindle. The battery has 100% of life on it, and that is how you know how much life you have on it. Please check on the Product Page of the Kindle Fire 7 on Amazon's website for how long the battery lasts.
