I use my tablet throughout the day, every day, and charge it at night. It lasts all day for me. Based on an 8-10 hour day. If I'm a passenger, while travelling, I use my "hot spot" and charge it in the vehicle, if needed.

The battery has 100% of life on it, and that is how you know how much life you have on it. Please check on the Product Page of the Kindle Fire 7 on Amazon's website for how long the battery lasts.
