“Can this change over the Air channels. No cable box I read they were going to set up the new version to do that”

Not sure as I just got mine, but I have and love my FireTV Recast! It can not only watch OTA (over the air) TV channels, but it also can record them! You can even record some of the other channels, (not all, I'm sure due to legal restrictions by some providers). You will need an antenna (outside or in, depending on the channels you want and how far away they might be.) I have one strapped on my chimney (cannot be seen front the front of the house) and get about 80 OTA channels in the Atlanta area from a suburb about 20 miles west of ATL.

Hello Lori, once the Fire Cube is set up to work with your TV (go to Settings, equipment control, TV) you should be able to use Alexa to change OTA Channels. Hope this helps!
