• Bought one a few weeks ago…. The $50+ one… did not have to jail break it like the last ones 4 yrs ago. Plug and play. Great!

• I’m no expert, but in my case the fire stick made an older “dumb” tv capable of streaming content from hundreds of providers like Hulu, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon video. All of those still require a subscription. There is some free content included.
