Not Impressed
||Posted .Buggy. App freezes on Hulu. Older model did not have these problems. Switches from Hulu to Prime accounts out of the blue. The experience is not what I anticipated for 4K Max. Considering a return if this continues. Also, I have to keep pairing my remote just for Hulu to work.

Stop paying for TV - the 1st step.
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. It's fast. It's 4k. Once you bypass all the advertising crap and sideload a few fantastic apps and bypass the amazon main page with a launcher it's wonderful. I've cut the cord to satellite and cable tv. FREEDOM AT LAST!!! Be a pirate.

Great replacement for an old Fire Tv
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I bought this to replace a Fire TV device that was several years old because it supported Apple TV and Dolby Vision. It also has been much more responsive than my old device and having a volume control on the remote is also a plus. I had some difficulty pairing it with the remote during setup that was resolved with a Google search and it's worked perfectly since then. I wish it had wired Ethernet, but I haven't had any problems with WiFi, and for the price I can't complain.

A league of its own.
||Posted .Compared to its predecessors, this device is truly a max. Its much faster, almost all streaming apps are supported. I noticed zero lag when starting up apps My only issue is the 8gb internal memory. It's just not enough when you consider all streaming services . Overall its affordable and i would recommend to everyone.

Q: QuestionWhen you you say 40% more powerful, what does that really mean... What is more powerful?, the speed it works wirelessly?, switching channels? Way to vague a statement... Give Us numbers and details that are 40% more powerful.
Asked by Tommy.
- A:Answer Hello, Tommy! The new Fire TV Stick 4K Max has many features which makes it faster than the regular Fire TV Stick 4K. One of the leading factors is its use of WiFi 6. The device also has a quad-core processor with CPU 1.8GHz and GPU 750MHz. With all of this combined, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is our most powerful streaming stick--with faster app starts and more fluid navigation. I hope that helps to answer your questions. Have a great day!

Q: QuestionIt says you need to have a Wifi6 Router to take full advantage or the 4K Max. I have a Nighthawk 5G Pro with Wifi 6 I use for Internet, if I connect to the 5G Pro will it take full advantage or the 4K Max?
Asked by DonnieEarl.
- A:Answer Hi DonnieEarl! The Nighthawk 5G Pro is indeed compatible with the Fire TV Stick 4K max. Since this router uses Wifi 6 technology, you will be getting the maximum out of your Fire TV Stick 4K max. The speed and quality of your streaming experience will be based off of your 5G connection and coverage strength. I hope this helps, have an amazing day!

Q: QuestionDo I need an Amazon account to use this device? And if so, is there a monthly fee for having an account with Amazon —I do not want to have a Prime Amazon account?
Asked by jmgc.
- A:Answer Hello jmgc! Yes you do need to set up a free Amazon account if you don't have one already in order to use this device. Amazon Prime is not a mandatory service to subscribe to for this. There are a number of benefits you get by signing up for Amazon Prime including access to Prime Video which comes with a huge library of free content along with Amazon Prime Original shows and movies. But you can use this device with most other services and there is a plethora of free content that you get access to automatically. Thanks so much for your question and I hope you have a Happy New Year!

Q: QuestionCan I add other apps not displayed on the remote?
Asked by greenjeanstex.
- A:Answer Hi greenjeanstex! Yes, there are many apps available other than whats represented on the buttons. These are simply most popular/most used. Apps can be easily downloaded from the main screen on your Fire TV device. Here are the steps: 1. Use the main menu on your Fire TV to search for apps. You can also use your voice to search for specific apps. Just press the voice button on your Alexa Voice Remote. 2. Select the app you want to download. 3. Select Get or the shopping cart icon to start your download. Hope this helps, enjoy your day!

Q: QuestionHow do I have sound from my reciever (surround sound) Can it be plugged directly in my receiver and use ARC?
Asked by gdbelden.
- A:Answer Hello gdbelden! Yes, you can plug this device directly into your receiver just be sure it is still also plugged into the power supply as the receiver does not power the Fire Stick. Another way you can get sound to your receiver is to have the Fire Stick plugged into your HDMI In on your TV and have HDMI Out from your TV going to HDMI In on your receiver. Both ways would work just fine! I hope this helps answer your question and that you have an awesome day!
