It was weird in the beginning but everything went smooth after updating the firmware (apparently there's a lot of changes lately). Watched hours on this without issue, 4k quality, connected to eero6 uninterrupted. Remote works flawlessly despite the stick is behind the tv. I just wish it could draw power from the tv instead from the plug.

I have been wih Direct tv since 2023. Good service, but it started at $115 a month. The cost has gone up since then. Now it is over $200 a month, not worth it. I purchased the Roku streaming stick 4k and I could not be happier with the performance. I can watch what I want, all my favorites and not pay for what I don't watch, no package deals. It is easy to install, I am 75 and I had no problems.

Super easy to set up and use. Batteries included. Fast and responsive. I took off one star because it requires you to enter and store a credit card for any purchases, even if you never make a purchase. Since I already subscribed to the apps that I wanted (Netflix, etc.), there is no legitimate business purpose for the company to require and store my credit card information. The risk to the consumer outweighs the company’s “just in case” reason. This is called unfair and deceptive trade practices under consumer protection laws. Also, the box does not say a credit card number is required to use this product. You don’t find this out until it’s opened, plugged into the tv and you are installing it. There used to be a way to bypass this, but that option is gone. Roku is creating unnecessary risk to the consumer and perhaps a barrier to those who do not have a credit card.
