No you cannot record on it. But you can select your favorite movies/channels etc and add to 'my list'. It will always be in your 'my list' folder and can be accessed anytime

It gives your now "smart TV" the ability to stream subscription applications or free applications. Some streaming TV applications, such as You Tube TV (subscription required), gives you the ability to watch local and network channels, among many others, and record for later play back.
