Hi, I did not buy a case, but a sleeve (see info below). Personal preference, it fits well and I use it only when travelling and I am throwing my kindle in my backpack. I still have my Gen1 Kindle, and for this one, I had a leather case, but the combo kindle+case was a bit heavy. Hope this helps. There are many after market cases available on amazon.com as well as Amazon's own cases which I recommend just because they're better made in my personal opinion. My wife got an aftermarket case which makes the oasis about the thickness of a hardback book with the same overall dimensions. Amazon's cases are more fitted to the device adding the least amount of thickness which I prefer. My wife's aftermarket added to the weight significantly, again something amazon's cases don't do as much, which when you're buying a device for how thin and light it is, makes a big difference. Shop around, do your research, make sure there's a good return policy (amazon's is pretty great), buy your item.
