Hello TRoge, Yes, The Kindle Paperwhite uses a feature called VoiceView which is a screen reader that can narrate text and navigation to Bluetooth headphones or through the devices speakers. To turn this feature on: Click Settings Click Accessibility Locate "VoiceView Screen Reader" and toggle it to "On" Once Voice View is enabled. Once you open a book, the Kindle will begin reading it aloud automatically. I hope this helps!
