• No. The usb to wall plug AC adapters are universal. Depending on the watage capabilities the time it takes to charge may vary by adapter, but it will not harm the kindle.

• Hello Ker, The Kindle Paperwhite will fully charg in approximately 4 hours from a computer via USB cable or fully charges in less than 3 hours with a 5W USB power adapter. As long as your adapter is a 5W power adapter, you should be fine. Thanks, and have a great day!
