The font is extremely customizable on the Kindle Paperwhite, by default I would say it's about the same size as a standard mass market paperback book that you'd find at the library. To adjust the font sizes just tap at the top of the screen and then the 'Aa' symbol.     • Answer Hi Bill! To wake your Kindle Paperwhite perform a forced restart by holding the power button for 40 seconds, or until the device restarts. If this doesn't work, plug your Kindle into its charger and leave it for at least 5 minutes and make sure the charging indicator light turns on. If the light does not turn on (Orange or green) try using a different charger and cable to rule out a faulty charging setup then repeat the 40-second press-and-hold. I hope this information helps.
