Hello Modes! This device does not currently support automatic mode switching. Hunches support will automatically alter temperature settings based on the mode that it is currently in but it will not switch from A/C to heat automatically. Thanks so much for your question and have any awesome day!

This device will switch automatically a/c to heat or heat to a/c in order to maintain set temperatures.
