Yes as long as they are all connected through the same electrical circuit you can use as many as needed. Since all powerline adapters work the same you can use different brands.

Please try again later.Yes you can. you can even use different brand powerline adapters. however, the downfall is the bandwidth. i personally have had 4 plugged in at one time. (1 was plugging into the modem/router and the other 3 were plugged into other outlets around the house. i was using actiontec and netgear powerline adapters.
