I ran cat8 as the back haul and when I purchased the 2nd Alien as a RAMP. When I added the 3rd Alien I didn’t have cat8 run to that wing of my home. After contemplating using the existing cst6 or tearing open drywall to run cat8, I decided to give the wireless back haul option provided by Alien a try. I was able to get almost 200 more mbps than the wired cat8. Needless to say I’m now 100% wireless back haul and clocking well over gigabit speeds on my LAN.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can chose either configuration. Bridged connection (plugged in) is obviously faster, but I really doubt you’ll need or notice the difference. The speeds are so much higher than you really need, anyway….
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it connects wirelessly as soon as you plug it in.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.just needs to be plugged into electric outlet. We have 4. our signal reaches our dock 100 feet out and our front beach 150 feet out. Very happy with the whole system. Needed 4 because of stone walls in house.
