It does come with a plastic adhesive screen protector, it went on like a dream too! It also has a flap inside the case to cover the screen while you carry it around. It folds to prop up the screen in play mode. It holds 5 carts and has an elastic net to hold other small accessories.

That, and the cases on the Nintendo site these ones are based on have images of film screen protectors too, so it should be two different things. If it turns out that's not the case then the marketing on the name is misleading and unfortunate for all of us.
