We have found it useful for monitoring remotely while out or even starting before coming back. We live by phones now so easy to change temp, timer etc without being in proximity. Not a huge deal but a nice benefit for sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.None that I am aware of....but starting it when I am 22 miles away is pretty slick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Changing temp, time and checking water temp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I like the WiFi feature in that you can start it from anywhere and helps you monitor it. I can start cooking the chicken breasts and it will alert me when the timer is done. It comes in handy when running errands.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can also know when it is done from any location, or turn it off from any location. It's not necessary; it's more of a QOL / bonus feature in case you should need it. I will say that since you generally leave things to cook in it for 30 minutes+, it is nice to go about the house and do your day and not have to bother checking on it. But one could always set a timer on their phone, microwave, or oven just as easy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The WiFi allows you to monitor from the app from anywhere. I cooked ribs, they were absolutely fantastic, for 24 hours with Anova. With the use of the app and WiFi, I was able to make sure the temp was staying at the right temp and how much longer the ribs would be cooking. I would highly recommend watching Sous Vide Everything on YouTube. They took the guess work out of cooking sous vide.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So far I have never needed to use the WiFi. Set the temperature and hit start and off you go. i bought this unit for the ability to heat fast and keep a constant temperature. It has worked great so far. Zero complaints.
