I get good HD reception on mine and I'm a good 20 miles from the primary transmitters in my area. Could be you are too far away or your area does not have stations that transmit HD. Make sure that all of your connections are tight and if you are using a spliter make sure its new, the right frequency and that you have the leads on the correct connections for in and out.
