“We have a RCA XL-100 TV. It must be 25+ years old. It is connected to cable. We get great reception. I tried changing the hook up to a new antenna.. but I only get "snow". A friend says the TV is too old for a new antenna. Can this be true? .Help.”

A 25 year old tv will not have an HD Tv Tuner. You will need an external tuner box to convert...Or better yet time for a TV upgrade. They are so cheap now and anything manufactured after 2008 will have a built in HD tuner.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Select "antenna" for tv input. Then select "auto channel search". There may not be any "analog" signals anymore, and your tv may not be able to search for "digital" signals. I don't know this tv or it's manual, so I hope this helps.
