I'd consult your camera manual. This is just a monitor, so your camera would need to be capable of showing its display on an external monitor in its own capacity if you wished to for example show photo or video from your gallery, otherwise you will still need a computer. There are high fidelity camera monitors specially designed for displaying real-time camera viewports and captured footage that you may find useful if you are doing cinematography and looking to have a larger clearer veiwport. Even with a computer I'd specifically not recommend this monitor due to the weird resolution and poor contrast ratio (the difference between your brightest and darkest colors). A camera monitor will be much smaller than this display at the same price point, but a big improvement compared to squinting at a 2 to 3 inch viewport. I hope this helps! Happy shopping!
