• I use it as a second monitor for my HP laptop when traveling. I need more screen real estate when working in graphics applications, so I use this monitor for email and menus while using the laptop monitor for the imagery (because the picture quality is better on the laptop).

• Yes, it shows up as a second monitor and you can choose to extend

• I use as a second screen with Dell laptop without issue, should be same with windows devices.
