Thank you for your interest in our products. Yes our UPS would provide back up power during a power outage to give you time to power down your equipment. They are especially helpful during small power blimps too. The runtime would depend on how much equipment is connected to the UPS. More equipment connected to the unit would be less runtime on the UPS.
