Thank you for your inquiry. The previous posters are correct. We do not recommend connecting our units to loads that can change. There is a chance that the UPS would become overloaded if the power draw would go over the supported 900 watts. We also would not recommend using the unit in a wet or damp environment. High humidity would damage the UPS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not recommended for a sump pump. As an example, a 1/4 HP sump pump is about 600W, with a peak start current multiples of that. Assuming the UPS wouldn't immediately trip on overload, you'd get a minute or two at most. You'd also risk damaging the UPS from the spike in current. Your best solution would be a generator or large power bank.

The amount of time it would run would be determined by the about power uses, but it would probably run for at least several hours before shutting it down and running out of power and by then hopefully your power would already be back on.
