“Is this a good UPS for a high end projector? Is it really “needed”? If not this one, can someone ad use another model or brand. It would ONLY be to safely power off the projector for cool down time. Projector; Sony VPL VW385ES Projector power 350W”

The upc expert implied (when answering this question) that this unit is a true sine wave output unit. It is not! In battery, it produces a Step-approximated sine-wave. Check the product pdf file for details.

If the projector doesn't require the pure sine wave output then you could go with something like the BX1500M instead. It would provide a similar runtime as the BN1500M2. Unless, you have a lot of power outages or use the projector non-stop, it might be more than what you need. But, if you are looking for power backup to keep the cool-down going during a power outage, yes this unit is a good choice.
