“I was putting in a new back up battery for my mobile phone. The voltage for the new & old battery are the same surprisingly. Both R good. Can I use my old battery that was beeping before? How long 2 recharge? ‘No Service’ sign? How 2 fix? TQ.”

If you are talking about a UPS and not a cell phone, then you may not be able to reuse the old batteries. It depends how old they are. You can replace the batteries in the old UPS at either of the two major hardware stores - I just did. There are instructions for ANYTHING on YouTube!
