Thank you for your interest in our products. Yes it will work for your phone system given it draws less than 900 watts. The runtime would really depend on how much power the equipment draws. At full load (900 watts) the unit would provide 3 minutes of runtime. At half load (450 watts) it would get around 11 minutes of runtime. If the power draw is a lot less the runtime will be increased.

I use one of these units on my phone system and it works nicely. 

Based on the load level it displays and the capacity It will keep the phone system operating for about 5 hours. Of course your phone system may consume more or less.

It will last for 3 hours if nothing else is plugged in and it's a normal phone modem type thing
