I have mobility issues and would like this UPS to provide backup for my recliner. I am concerned that I would be "trapped" in the chair if the power were to go out when the chair was in a reclined position. I would not be able to climb out of it. null

Thank you for your inquiry. Usually we don't recommend using our BackUPS with motorized loads. They can cause the UPS to become overloaded when the motor kicks on. I would just make sure you look up what the maximum amount the motor draws on the chair to make sure it won't overload the UPS. This UPS will support 900 watts of equipment connected to it so you wouldn't be able to go over that.

It will work just fine. No worries. When the power goes out just be ready to get out of the reclining position. Place it in an area where you can see the screen, it will let you know how long you have until the backup supply is out.

I would probably be worried about other things, but getting out of the chair isn't one of them. Not with this UPS.
