“Can this product power down a computer when it senses a power outage will it restart when line power comes back on”

• Thank you for your interest in our products. Yes this unit would be able to shutdown a connected computer when the battery gets low. You would just need to make sure to connect the included USB cable to the UPS then to the computer. If the system is Windows based you can use our PowerChute Personal Edition software or the built in energy saving feature in the system. If the system is a Mac you would need to use the built in energy saving feature as unfortunately our PowerChute Personal software isn't supported on the Mac operating system.

• When a power outage occurs the APC will switch to battery backward immediately and switch back to AC when power is restored. Gives you time to shut down if outage is long.
