• If is a gas 120VAC water heater. Not on an electric water heater.

• Thank you for your interest in our products. Normally our products would be used with computers and network equipment so this may not work. I would definitely check to see how much power the water heater draws. If it is an electric water heater it will likely pull too much power for the UPS. The BX1000M-LM60 would support 600 watts connected to it. Anything over that will overload the UPS. I would also make sure the environment isn't too humid because that will damage the UPS.
